The ‘Schooler’ Movement Begins – Demanding to see diplomas from Palin, Angle, Bachmann, Handel & Rubio

July 22, 2010 by my2bucks

The ‘birthers’ on the far right of the Republican Party still question the citizenship of President Obama.  Two years later, they are still demanding to see his birth certificate.  His certificate of live birth and newspaper clipping of his birth aren’t enough for them.  Nor is the fact that Bill O’Reilly and others from the right have accepted that Obama was born in the United States.

As far as I’m concerned, an education is just as important when running for office as the place of one’s birth.

As a ‘SCHOOLER’, I now demand to see high school and college diplomas and transcripts of all my elected officials.  We need to have people with brains deciding what is in our best interests.

Not ones that will ‘refudiate’ or go on ‘offence’.

I demand to see the diplomas and / or transcripts from the following candidates:

Sarah Palin

The woman who wants to be our president has attended 5 different colleges.  It is rumored that she went to the University of Hawaii for the beaches only to transfer to Hawaii Pacific College because it rained too much at the other school.

We’ve all heard how she speaks. Me thinks it’s time we ask to see some proof that she actually graduated from college.

  • University of Hawaii at Hilo
  • Hawaii Pacific College
  • North Idaho College
  • Matanuska-Susitna College
  • University of Idaho

Karen Handel

Handel is in the Republican Party run-off for Georgia governor and was endorsed by Palin.  She’s been accused of graduating with a GED but Hagel claims she has a high school diploma.  Prove it!

Michele Bachmann

Bachmann seems to be quite intelligent based on her degrees.  She is a tax attorney.  There can only then be two excuses for her behavior in public life:

  1. She’s pretending to be insane in order to pander to the Tea Party movement.
  2. She hit her head on something and is now clinically insane.
  • Winona State University
  • Oral Roberts University
  • College of William & Mary Law School

Sharron Angle

Sometimes when I listen to Angle, I think that she’s crazier than Palin and Bachmann combined.  She has made me actually enjoy paying attention to Harry Reid.

She allegedly received her BA in Fine Arts.  If you major in drama or theatre, wouldn’t you get your degree in Fine Arts?  So maybe she’s … acting crazy?

  • University of Nevada, Reno

Marco Rubio

What can I say about the man who wants to be my US Senator?  He claims to have started his collegiate career on a football scholarship.  He transferred to a community college the second year – not that there’s anything wrong with that.  He claims to be an attorney and he does quite well taking salary from a law firm that made huge sums of money representing the State of Florida – while Rubio was Speaker of the House in Florida.

  • Tarkio College
  • Santa Fe Community College
  • University of Florida
  • University of Miami

This is just the beginning.  The ‘Schooler’ Movement has begun.  Let’s go after the ‘birthers’.  If they still believe that President Obama wasn’t born in Hawaii, they may be stupid enough to lie about graduatin’ from skool.

i thank you for the invitation to join your group. i would certainly like to know just how educated our elected officials are, especially those far wrong-wingers who claim to know how to staighten this country, and the rest of the world out.

if these people are that intelligent, that they have some master plan that can save the planet, i want to see it…in writing (which ought to be fun) !!!

let us put some pressure of our own, on these people who think they know everything, and are demanding that we put them in high office !!!

      Ron,

I want someone leading this country or my state who is much smarter than I am. It is frightening to think what type of master plan an uneducated person could devise. Then again, I lived through the Bush presidency.

As you would all like to have the information, so would I. let’s see Mr. Obama do the exact same as those you ask here., BUT, let him lead by example and release ALL of his records for the scrutiny you demand now of others.
Lets start with the admission papers from his schoo;ing in Malaysia. then go onward and forward from there.

      Bornagain,

I recall having to provide my college transcripts at an interview out of college. In numerous interviews over the years, I was asked about my GPA. I don’t have a concern demanding to see the diplomas and transcripts of our candidates.

I don’t think all politicians should be doctors or attorneys. In fact, I’d prefer it if they weren’t. But to be a governor of a state should require some basic education – like graduating high school. It’s embarrassing to have a national political figure unable to construct a simple sentence.

It was reported that Karen Hangel only picked up her GED. Though there is no constitutional requirement to have an education, why would you want someone leading your state who couldn’t even graduate high school?

Now to address the real intention of your comment: Why would getting an education in Malaysia or anywhere abroad be an issue? Many highly intelligent people have studied abroad. Clearly, you are raising the ‘birther’ issue which was actually the purpose of the ‘schooler’ movement.
